Founding Partner, Argonautic Ventures Korea

Chase founded Argonautic Korea in 2018 and is equity Partner of Argonautic Ventures. Chase’s network in South Korea is bar none resulting in Argonautic acquiring the founding families behind Samsung, LG, GS, Hyundai, and Kakao as Limited Partners. Prior to Argonautic in 2015, Chase was Property Investment Director at BRV Capital where he successfully executed their first property deal for 1.3bn USD. Chase sold Sambu’s Seoul Renaissance hotel and office tower to KKR and today the site is the Chosun Palace Hotel. In 2008 Chase joined his family at Sambu Construction Company founded by his grandfather. It was a top three construction company in South Korea behind Hyundai Construction. Chase was an integral part of all projects as Sambu’s Head of Development. Sambu held the first commercial real estate construction license in South Korea and was commissioned by former President Park for the development of various civil infrastructure projects. The company is also involved in the redevelopment, reconstruction, and construction of thermal power, industrial and environmental plants. Chase also personally executed two additional notable transactions IParking and Sound Graph during this period. Chase began his career at Savills Beijing, a big 5 global real estate services provider. During his first two years he built new lines of business for Savills with Samsung, SK, Shinsei Banks and Mirea Asset Management.

Chase is a graduate of New York University with a bachelor’s degree in Economics. He received his MBA from Tsinghua University in a joint international master’s degree program with MIT Sloan. He and his family currently reside in Honolulu where he runs the Argonautic Korea office.
