Mark McCall

Mark has 30 years of experience in executive leadership and business development, while helping grow six early-stage funds and companies as President, CEO, and/or Board Member. Prior to Argonautic, he was a Managing Director at iSelect, one of the most active food/agtech and health/wellness venture capital firms in the U.S. He was responsible for Capital Formation and led efforts which raised over $100M in capital. He also served as an Operating Advisor to several portfolio companies and assisted overall efforts in portfolio acceleration and success. Previously, he was a senior executive or President/CEO of four operating companies and a Managing Director of two equity hedge funds. He was EVP Business Development for Cadenza Innovation, a leading energy storage technology company, CEO of HPA Sonics, an early-stage specialty materials company, and Seed Investor, CEO and Board Member of Greenleaf Biofuels (now American Greenfuels). At Greenleaf, he and his partners built the largest biofuel plant in New England, which was eventually acquired by its strategic partner. He was also a Managing Director of two long/short equity hedge funds, Rothschild Technology Partners and Rock Crest Capital. At Rothschild, he was a Co-Portfolio Manager and helped drive global top 10 performance over a three-year period from 1997-2000. He started his career in commercial real estate, closing approximately $100M in transactions. Mark has B.S. in Finance from Babson College.
