Rita Chiu

Rita co-founded Argonautic Ventures SPC in 2016 and currently serves the dual role of CFO and COO of all Argonautic structures across the US, South Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong and China. Early on Rita built Argonautic’s sell side relationships with specific groups with access to Forbes 100 Asia families now LP’s of Argonautic. In addition, Rita drives Argonautic’s complete legal, audit and fund administration for over 30 vehicles across Argonautic’s Venture and Crypto asset classes. Prior to Argonautic Rita was Managing Director of Venture Capital at Isola Capital Asset Management Ltd. During her time at Islola, Rita developed for Argonautic institutional venture-based structure products that were later subscribed for by top 10 Korean multi-nationals. Prior to Isola Rita was Executive Director of Investment Management at Avenue Asset Management. Avenue was founded by ex-Group Head of HSBC Private Client Group China and actively collaborates with large China PE’s including Hill House. Rita built Avenues’s Opportunistic Fund series in Cayman in partnership with Argonautic as the engine of their vehicle. Rita brought IPOs in Grab, Honest Company, Benson Hill and Latch to Avenue during her 2 years with them. Prior to Avenue, Rita was co-head of Private Wealth at Athena Wealth Management where she built Athena’s institutional derivative platform. Rita began her career at HSBC Hong Kong in Institutional Sales in their global capital markets group.

Rita is a graduate of the University of Waterloo with a Bachelors of Mathematics, Honors Mathematics, and Actuarial Science. Rita and her family currently reside in both Hong Kong and Vancouver where she manages all Argonautic global operations in addition to co-managing the Argonautic Seattle office.
